As i wondered about functions which could handle huge numbers as the once astronomical numbers have reduced to mere population counts of great countries like ours, I went on to compute something of the form of x^x^x^x^x.. and i titillated while i thought about the concepts. Because in the age of today one has access to large amount of computational power and it is very easy to compute these values than it would have been in the past. (Imagine doing this with an abacus)

So the gist of the matter is that .. microsoft excel interprets x^x^x^x as ((x^x)^x)^x whereas wolfram alpha interprets it as x^(x^(x^x)). I personally find the interpretation of stephen wolframs ingenious computational knowledge engine to be more correct than that of mr gates company. But i am no mathematic pundit.. so i would leave this problem to be resolved by the bigger mathematicians.. and live my life in peace.
